2.4 Side effects

In some cases, mild side effects may occur during and after treatment. These side effects are listed below:

• Discomfort on the first day of treatment.

• Skin irritation (such as itching or feeling of heat in the treated area), which usually disappears within the first 12 to 72 hours after treatment.

• Mild, temporary exfoliation of the skin that usually resolves within eight days.

• Dry skin due to increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
